Tell it like it is.

What are you afraid of? What’s the worst that could happen? They’re only words. If it’s how you really feel, if it’s heart truthful, then it will be okay. Make sure it’s how you really feel, and not the heat of the moment. Set aside hurt, set aside embarrassment, look denial in the eye, tell pride to sit down and wait while you work it out. If what you’re saying is real, if it’s truthful, you’ll be okay regardless of the consequences. When you’re attacked, your backup is the truth. The truth is okay.
