Charles Mann and “Save San Clemente Open Space” try to fool residents into believing that Pacific Golf Club is the last large recreational open space in San Clemente. One of the catches here of course, is that the land and course is private. It is zoned as a golf course, but it’s a private course, so the recreational uses only apply to members at Pacific. Like Charles Mann, Jim Smith and Gary Hopp, the founders of “Save San Clemente Open Space.”
